St. John the Baptist

The Worship Committee is responsible for seasonal decorating, proper placement and upkeep of altar cloths and other items used for worship and the appropriate use of the worship space. We are the committee to contact if your group wants to assist with a particular Mass or hold a special service to pray for your group, or to set up a display in the church. We also help our parishioners to “take church home” through the distribution of prayer flyers, devotional booklets and items such as prayer cards, Epiphany packets, Candlemas candles, and other home devotional aids.

There are currently about nine people on the committee, including musicians, faith formation staff, lay reader and extraordinary minister coordinators and those involved in other ministries that take place primarily in the church. We meet monthly with our resident priest and our Priest Moderator. Anyone interested in liturgical practices in our church is welcome to join the committee!
